Another two Melbourne Stars players have tested positive to COVID-19 ahead of their local derby, meaning they have 12 of their squad out of action.

Monday night's match against the Renegades at the MCG will go ahead, despite top-up player Tom Rogers and England's Joe Clarke joining the list of those unavailable.

Clarke had a positive PCR test after Sunday's loss to the Perth Scorchers and slot online Rogers was ruled out after his RAT was positive on Monday morning.

Six club cricketers, including Rogers, were rushed into the squad for the Scorchers game slot online after 10 Stars had tested positive for COVID-19.

Eight staff members also remain in isolation after returning positive PCR tests.
