Ryan James was working a steady job in finance when he decided to delve into the world of male escorting.

Inspired by a previous girlfriend who was already in the industry, Mr James quit his corporate role and now charges between $400-$6,000 for his professional, intimate services.

The 34-year-old from Sydney spoke on the  about how his clientele has evolved over the past decade, from older women in their fifties and sixties to women in their 30s.  

'I've seen quite a few virgins over the years. They're usually shy and nervous, but come in with an attitude that's just, "Let's do this!" I've seen clients who are in their 40s and still virgins,' he said. 

'The thing with younger clients is that, they don't have as much money, so it tends to be a one-off experience,' he added.

Previously Mr James told The Morning Show he held off telling his parents about his career change for fear of judgement. 

'I didn't tell them [my family] at first. When I did get started I told my friends pretty quickly. My family found out a little later,' he said.

'It was a bit of a mixed reaction. They don't treat me any differently because of it. It's probably not the kind of thing parents would choose for their children but they still treat me well.'

Calling his job 'rewarding work', Mr James also shared his most popular request with the ladies on his payroll.

'It's definitely the dinner date I offer,' he said.

The scenario involves a typical evening meal and 'getting to know you' type questioning, followed by a jaunt back to a hotel or the client's apartment for a tailored and personal experience.

Calling it the 'luxury date night' on his website, Mr James charges $2,700 for six hours of 'pampering and pleasure' or $4,000 for an overnight slumber party with breakfast in the morning. 

So has he discovered what women are looking for in a partner? 

'Pretty much every single client that I see there's some companionship element to the booking,' he explained.

'From what I see, men are more focused on the sexual side of things. Women are focused on the sex too, they wouldn't come to see me without it, but we spend a lot of time talking as well.'

Mr James said that most people would be surprised at the range of women he sees as clients.

'Many of the women I see could easily go to a bar and pick a guy up and have sex that way,' he explained. 'But they want a different experience.

'Sometimes it's that they've been recently divorced, or they're still married but haven't been intimate in a long time. I've had clients who are couples who want a threesome and women who are virgins.'

He said that the range in ages of women who see him is vast too.

'The youngest client I've had was 20,' Mr James explained. 'It's rarer for a client to be in their 20s but still happens regularly.'

Mr James admitted that generally women don't have specific fantasies they want played out by an esenyurt escort.

'Clients say to me that with a lot of sexual encounters they have the guy makes it about him, he comes and then it's over. They want the focus to be on them. Many do like reciprocating, but they want their pleasure to be in focus,' the escort explained.

He said that there's definitely still a stigma around women seeing escorts, and that some women are very secretive about it.

'The way I describe seeing an escort is any girl could go into a bar and ask a guy to go back to hers and get a back massage. A lot of guys would say yes,' he said.

'But he's not a massage therapist. She might enjoy it, but he's not a professional. If you want a certain sexual experience, it's much harder to find exactly what you want, but an escort can provide that.'
