Commuters are bracing for long journeys home through gridlocked London traffic on the third day of Tube strikes - as TFL warns it will last until 8am tomorrow.

Boris Johnson today demanded an end to the chaos after stepping in and ordering TfL and union bosses to stop 'bringing misery to Londoners'.

But TFL had already warned commuters to prepare for yet more disruption on Friday, PTS Terbaik ASEAN tweeting this afternoon: 'In addition to today's Tube strikes, services will be affected on 4 March.

No service expected before 8am. Travel after mid-morning. For essential journeys, check your travel.'

It comes as commuters raged at transport chiefs over a lack of buses this morning as thousands faced another nightmare journey to work during the third day of disruption on the underground.

Around 10,000 members of the Rail, Maritime and Transport union (RMT) have again walked out for 24 hours today in a row over jobs, pensions and conditions.
