VISIT: Germany's President Frank-Walter Steinmeier wraps up his three-day visit, meeting Prime Minister Andrej Babis.
BANKS: The Czech National Bank raised the counter-cyclical capital buffer that all banks are required to hold by 50 basis points to 1.50%, effective October 2022, the bank said.
TELECOMS: The Czech telecoms regulator CTU may cap wholesale mobile data prices charged by three main operators to virtual providers, its chief told business daily Hospodarske Noviny.
CEE MARKETS: Hungary cut back its government bond sales on Thursday at its first auction since the central bank announced on Tuesday that it would start winding down their purchases, as markets were concerned about the effects of the start of the tapering.

THIRD JAB: First people received their third dose of COVID-19 vaccine as the government is to decide on the possible roll-out of the additional vaccination wave.
The Health Ministry is supposed to decide on the matter by the end of August, the vaccination could start in October.
HEATING PLANTS: Czech heating plants could receive tens of billions of crowns from the government by 2030 to compensate for their spending on emission allowances which are at record highs due to European Union's push for transition to green economy.
