The medical student, 23, stated: 'Love Island pay cheque put to use,' as she revealed to her Instagram followers what she'd done with the money.

Taking to her Instagram Stories, Priya posted a screenshot of a bank statement showing the £750 entering her account in a payment from ITV.

She shared another showing how she'd donated the same amount to NHS Charities Together through Virgin Money Giving.

According to The Sun, Love Islanders receive around £250 for every week they are on screens.

It's reported that the money they're given is to help cover rent, bills and general costs back home as they spend time in the Mallorcan villa.

Priya, who is a budding orthopaedic surgeon, sometimes shares a few shots of herself sporting a more stripped-back look as she uses her talents in the NHS. 

The beauty is no stranger to covering up in medical clothing and PPE while working on the Covid-19 Intensive Care Unit earlier this year as she completes her studies at University College London. 

She volunteered her services on the Covid ward post-Christmas, after students based at the UCL hospital were contacted asking if they could assist helping with the mounting cases.

She worked six day, 12 hour night shifts in the understaffed department, supporting doctors and nurses.

Away from her studies, Priya is a keen runner and was aiming to complete a challenge of six marathons in six days later this year.
