Dr. Anthony Fauci avoided questions on his emails and growing demands for him to be fired as he joined Jill Biden for an interview on Live!
with Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest on Monday morning.

The pair were instead asked when they have diners with their families and discussed Jill's recent birthday trip to Delaware, a day after protesters greeted them at a vaccine center in Harlem and called for the embattled White House medical adviser to be axed. 

Fauci got only a few basic questions about vaccines for children and if the US public need booster shots.

But he wasn't pressed about his emails that suggest he publicly quashed evidence that COVID leaked from a Wuhan lab and revealed his close relationship with Chinese scientists at the start of the outbreak. 

'There was a birthday last week.

how did you celebrate?' host Ryan Seacrest asked. Biden responded with a description of her 'beautiful birthday' celebrations with the president at their beach house in Delaware. 

At another point, host Ripa noted that she and Dr. Biden were from neighboring towns in Jersey, calling Biden's hometown of Hammonton the 'blueberry capital of the world.' 

The White House has thrown their support behind Fauci in the aftermath of the release of his emails.

President Biden has said has 'full confidence' in his adviser and insists he won't be fired under any circumstances.
