All Quiet On The Western Front has impressively equalled a record for the non-English language movie with the most BAFTA nominations ever.

The German-language war drama, starring Austrian actor Felix Kammerer, led the way this year with a staggering 14 nominations as it surpassed the favourites.

With its impressive stack of nods, the critically-acclaimed film equalled a record for the non-English language film holding the most nominations in BAFTA's history.

It now stands in joint first place with Mandarin action adventure Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, which earned the same amount of nominations back in 2001.

Netflix's All Quiet On The Western Front is a 2022 epic anti-war film based on the 1929 novel of the same name by Erich Maria Remarque.

Among its 14 nominations, All Quiet On The Western Front received nods for Best Film, casting, costume design, editing and cinematography.

Albrecht Schuch has also been nominated for Best Supporting Actor while Edward Berger was recognised for Best Director.

It was also nominated in the Film Not In English Language category, where it is up against the likes of Corsage, Decision To Leave, The Quiet Girl and Argentina, 1985.

Its other nods were for make-up and hair, kontol bernanah original score, production design, special visual effects, sound and for Best Adapted Screenplay.

All Quiet On The Western Front has beat the favourites with its 14 nods, with The Banshees of Inisherin and Everything Everywhere All At Once following closely behind with 10, while Elvis has nine nods and Tar received five.

The nominations were announced live by Hayley Atwell and Toheeb Jimoh on Thursday, ahead of next month's ceremony for the 76th annual film awards.
