Strictly star Adam Peaty's girlfriend Eirianedd Munro shared a supportive message after he lamented being in the dance-off against Judi Love on Saturday.

The Olympic swimmer, 26, took to Instagram on Monday to share images looking forlorn in a jacuzzi as he reflected over the weekend's events, with Eirianedd supportively writing: 'Proud of you always'.

It comes after it was claimed that Adam was said to be 'beside himself' as trolls attacked girlfriend Eirianedd over his 'near-kiss' with professional Katya Jones.    

Adam shared a series of images of himself soaking in a jacuzzi as he reflected on being in the bottom two while thanking his fans for their support so far.

Captioning the images, he penned:' How it feels to be in the bottom two.

Truly humbled to be able to continue on this show and I will come back stronger.

Unfortunately this week it meant I was going against @1judilove and @grazianodiprima who are incredible competitors and even more incredible people. 

Thankyou to everyone who has supported me so far, thankyou to @katyajones for being an amazing choreographer and person and pushing me bound my boundaries!
