Rami Malek has revealed that he wouldn't have landed his roles in Bohemian Rhapsody or upcoming Bond 25 without his ground-breaking part in drama Mr Robot.
The Oscar-winning actor made the comments during Tribeca Talks: A Farewell to Mr Robot at the 2019 Tribeca Film Festival alongside Mr Robot showrunner Sam Esmail as well as cast members Christian Slater and Carly Chaikin on Sunday.
The 37-year-old star said that the USA Network series gave him the platform to showcase his acting ability during the chat held at Spring Studios in Tribeca in New York.

He said of his Oscar winning role in Bohemian Rhapsody and his thrilling new part as 007's nemesis in the upcoming Bond 25: 'They just wouldn't have happened this way without this role, this show and this group.
'I had done some things I thought were special in the past, and they still are, but this show…put me in a position where people could see what I was capable of doing.'
The award-winning actor, who is of Egyptian descent, admitted his didn't have high hopes for landing the part of Elliot Anderson, a cybersecurity engineer and hacker who has social anxiety disorder and clinical depression, due to his Middle Eastern heritage.
After Esmail explained that Rami's ethnicity wasn't a factor in landing the part, the star said his Mr Robot role helped him break away from stereotypical portraits of Arab men.
