With clubs across Europe beginning their gruelling pre-season training regimes, some players are taking the opportunity to enjoy their holidays while they still can.

The likes of Southampton and West Ham are starting to prepare for the new campaign, but with some other clubs not back just yet, players are making the most of it.

Several Premier League stars decided to spend some time with friends or family before kicking off their season campaigns. 

Manchester United winger Nani was among them. He spent last season on loan with Sporting Lisbon, although it is unlikely he will return to Old Trafford, with a move to Fenerbahce imminent.

He posted a picture to his Instagram page of him lying in the sun, relaxing on holiday saying he was supporting Portugal in their European U21 Championship final match with Sweden. 

Another player relaxing while he can is Chelsea's Mohammed Salah, who was loaned to Fiorentina in February and could spend next season there, while there is also an option to make his deal permanent.

He was enjoying some quality time in the pool with his daughter Makka.

Edin Dzeko spent some time with friends and the Manchester City striker is another who could be on the move this summer, although his agent has denied there have been talks with Roma. 

Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema enjoyed himself travelling in the US earlier this month and he was all smiles as he chilled in the pool.
