With the new iPad, 1080p video files will play just fine, and are ironically upscaled to the screen's native resolution. These video files take a huge bite out of the iPad's capacity, though, with a movie like "Hugo" coming in at 3.99GB. If you're going to store a lot of HD media, spring for the extra capacity.




That Spotify integration, also available on Samsung's larger Gear Sport smartwatch, is a first-of-its-kind feature and something of a coup for Samsung: It allows a Spotify Premium subscriber to transfer playlists directly to the Gear Fit 2 Pro and stream Spotify tracks to a pair of Bluetooth headphones without having a phone in the mix. (The Apple Watch only offers this feature to Apple Music subscribers). 











The Everio GZ-MG3xx models come in a variety of flavors, though they're nearly identical in terms of features, performance, and image quality. The MG330 has a 30GB hard drive and comes in silver, blue, or red; the 60GB MG360 comes in black. Each of these two models has a sibling offering bundled with a Share Station dock, which is denoted by a model number ending in "5." The MG335 comes in silver or white, while the MG365, like the MG360, comes only in basic black. The dock provides S-Video and FireWire ports. For this review, we tested an MG330.






Features

Since the Gusto 2 is primarily about calling, let's tackle the phone book first. There's room for five phone numbers, e-mail, a photo ID, and one of 20 polyphonic ringtones, including silent mode. There's also support for calling groups, physical addresses, a birth date, and notes.





Gamers should also be aware that as the iPad's games increase in sophistication and resolution, and so might their file size. Epic's Infinity Blade 2 is 791MB, and two of Gameloft's Modern Combat titles break the gigabyte barrier. A 16GB iPad doesn't hold what it used to.




The Sport Kit uses a proprietary version of 802.11 wireless networking to relay pace data to the adapter on the nano. The nano uses this data to extract information on distance travelled, pace, calories burned and time elapsed.








The i365's battery cover has a secure locking mechanism.




As previously mentioned, the i365's screen is rather small (1.62 inches, 130x130 pixels), but it supports a sharp 64,000 colors. Though graphics don't look especially fantastic, the display is nonetheless bright and colorful. You can change the backlight time and the font size. The menus have the standard, multipage Nextel design, of which we've never been fans, but they're simple and easy to use.




Some users have reported success with the Sport Kit and a regular pair of trainers. It seems logical that provided the transmitter is firmly attached to the shoe and aligned parallel to the sole, any shoe will work. We haven't tested this ourselves, but if you already have money invested in a pair of non-Nike trainers, this is a possible option.




You still lack the physical controls of a traditional console, though, and türöffnung for serious gamers, there's still a case to be made for portable gaming systems like the PS Vita and Nintendo 3DS.

Nike has a speckled history of partnerships with MP3 player manufacturers. Its collaboration with Philips produced the relatively competent MP3 Run, but this failed to raise more than a bored eyebrow from the jogging community. The Nike + iPod kit is a significant improvement on this.
